About Moi

I was born in June 1981, I'm a hearing impaired paper-crafter who loves all things crafty. I sew, although I'm still very much a novice at sewing. I bake and cook hopefully all kinds of delicious treats. I have a huge passion for photography and the camera {yes I'm old school I still use an actual camera} is never far from me. I also love creative writing from making up sentiments/verses for my cards and other paper-craft projects to penning some fiction. I am an avid reader and I may even throw in some book reviews on here too!

Geek Girl

There is a story behind this creation that starts with a conversation with Ike whilst I was in tesco.  I LOATHE shopping and am even less keen on taking others shopping.  Unfortunately my Dad's parents needed some help and I took Nan shopping.  I hated the noise, I hated how long it took and to make things easier I was messaging Ike regarding the non legal uses for frozen legs of lamb and how eating it would destroy any evidence.  As we were talking I decided I really enjoyed the science tech stuff in crime shows and the "lab geeks" were always my favourite characters.  I was then very lucky in that Ike kindly drew this gorgeous image, that and all others can be found at at Ike's Art Store

For this image I knew exactly what I wanted to do and for some reason everything just fell neatly into place as well.  I had a blast making it and cannot wait to make more 3d projects in the future.  This project depicts the room a serial killer has been using to hold his victims hostage before killing them.  I've used various images of people, the geek girl, the zombie rat who's currently eating body parts and the intestines from one victim and of course you need a good detective so Sherlock Holmes has popped by too.

I was looking to make some gifts for a friend and this seemed like an okayish gift and quite frankly I LOVED making it.

I've used brushos for the background and written the quote myself.  It reads "Life is a Kaleidoscope of Colour" {copyright Sallie Baker 2018}

Good luck Card

A really quick Good Luck card was needed for someone moving on to a new job.  I used Hobby Art stamps and layered it up in the hope it looks special.

There's been no adventure in quite some time but I have been playing with the camera in the garden.  They are nothing spectacular but they are all nature based as usual.
