It is Easter Bonnets/hats fortnight at  Ikes world challenges  and I couldn't resist making a bonnet.  Everything has been made from card, which I coloured myself with distress inks. I think it goes without saying that I have really enjoyed creating this mad hatters tea party Easter Bonnet.

I've chosen both dry and heat embossing on this LO.  I've used Ike's art images of flower pots to embellish the LO. It is "lucky me" fortnight over at  Ike's World Challenges  and I have decided to look at something a little different than St Patrick's Day.  I have gone with lucky rainbows and the mythical "person" the Green Man or the Jack in the Green.  It is said that branches and vines sprout from his mouth nose and face, some of which may bear fruit or flowers. The Green Man is seen throughout many countries inside and outside of Europe, throughout Religions including in churches, Wica/Neo Paganism and throughout literature.  Whilst predominantly viewed as a Celtic symbol it's actual origin remains a mystery.  It's name dates from as recently as 1939 when it's physical attributes were realised to be similar to the folklore tales of a character called Jack in the Green or Green Man. It's Fancy Borders week over at  One Stitch at a Time . I've chosen to make a Christmas Decoration using a traditional image. I've layered up a single bunting shape using distress inks and pencils to colour everything from the card to the image.  The die cuts are heat embossed. Sorry this photo is so bad.
