Sall the Crafty Baker

The theme at  Ikes world challenges  this time is cakes.  I've been longing to turn these images into cake decs but I'm still working on transferring them to icing.  In the meantime I painted these boxes with Gesso and turned them into a two tier cake decorated with images galore.

I loathe both buttons and bows, it hikes up postage charges and causes no end of problems with envelopes but this fortnight's theme is Buttons and Bows at  International Art and Soul  so here is my raid the sewing box effort.

I think I have been here too often.  There was no guide in the Billiard room and three lovely people were commenting on a framed poem and asked if I knew anything about it.  I then spent ten minutes talking about how the poem is based on the seven/eight deadly sins in the Bible.  The deadly Sins being Gluttony Lust and Fornication Greed Envy Pride Wrath Vanity/Vainglory Sloth In the Billiard room the sins are also depicted in stone carvings on stones that appear to support the ceiling.  My photos are terrible but they are beautifully carved.  I've attempted to photograph the poem too.   I don't think blogger is too keen on my photos, yet again I cannot upload them all in one post.  I shall have to be more picky about which ones I share. I had thought my Thursday Adventures were coming to an end and I would return to Lipreading in the new year, however they are not returning to the old room yet.  The "decorating" seems to be ...
