Scrapbook gift

I'm rather nervous of this as it's a gift.  I  know it will be well received, I know it will be appreciated but what makes me anxious is that scrapbooking seems to be out of favour, cards are popular with the odd bit of altered art or jouranling but the days of scrapbooking seem to be long gone.  I don't really know anyone who still scrapbooks, maybe the odd one or two but that's all.  I just I guess I'm worried this is one more thing to alienate me from everyone else and the pressure for what I should be making feels huge right now.  I don't really want to give up on scrapping, it's something I enjoy but I do feel conflicted at the moment.  So here's the latest scrap album.

    Oh WoWza !!! That is really cool Sall :-) I LUV it. I would love to do scrapbooking but I can't get all the bits and bobs I need out here and I won't pay high US postage. I have 2 albums that I bought ages ago but haven't used them as I am always not really sure where to start, so I end up mhoarding these lovely, blank, virgin scrapbooks hahahahahaha

One Stitch At A Time {OSAAT} Challenge 236 Anything Goes Special Lady

This is my first post for One Stitch At  A Time {I’m am so honoured to be allowed to cover for Nataliya whilst she takes a holiday} and I wanted it to say something about me as well as the theme for the challenge. The theme this fortnight as One Stitch at a time  is anything goes with special lady.  Now I have a few of those in my life, however recently one person has shown me just what a special lady they are through helping me when things got tough.  I send her happy mail a lot and she gets a special birthday card but when it comes to Christmas…the sheer number of cards to be made and sent at the same time means she generally gets a boring handmade card.  I saw the OSAAT challenge theme as a good way to show her how special I think she is at Christmas. The beauty of death

Gosh here I am blogging again...this time it's a "dark" art journal page.  I love doing these I just sit and play and see what happens.  There's something natural about dark craft that appears to my soul begging for freedom.  I lost track of time and it was only several hours later I emerged ravenous and realising Nan had slept for far too long...tonight I fear could be bad! I've used images from  Ikes Art  to create this page about the beauty of death.  I was really excited when I discovered it was to be a "dark" image over at Ike's Facebook Group challenge this month, I just don't see the "darker" images and creations around much. To make this I've used a background of distress crayons, the tree is made using novou mousse, the leaves are brushos, the mushrooms are stamped as are the bugs from various Hobby Art  stamp sets.  The quote is one I thought of suddenly at the end of the project and is written by me.  It reads: ...
