Although I have altered boxes before this is my first attempt using these techniques... Peeling Paint Stamping on Tissue Paper Colouring on Tissue Paper Lace Ribbon Flowers Wooden Words Lining the box with Tissue Paper I am unsure if I am supposed to tell you how I made this box but hey I'll drop some hints.  I used some 'wall paint' thanks to a tip from a good friend in azure blue and waited for it to dry.  I then used my finger to apply some Vaseline and wiped it over various places of the box and then painted a coat of sugared lilac.  Once it was dry I wiped the lilac paint off and where the Vaseline was put the lilac paint wipes off and remains only in the place where there was just paint for it to stick to.   I then used various memento inks to stamp various flowers {art journey stamps, thanks to a competition win in craft stamper} and some quotes from various stamps I already had.  I then cut them out and glued t...

This is my very first paper bag album that I will have made from scratch.  I do love it and I will be making more of these but the pages aren't perfect so if anyone has some tips please please leave them in the comments.  Anyway rather than me rambling here is the paper bag album.

make my monday challenge

Ok so I haven't done much recently as I've been to unwell but in the last 10days I have done made a couple pieces of jewellery.  I'm not overly good at this but I spied these beads during the hobbycraft order and fell in love with them! Ok and now for the  Make My Monday blog challenge. As ever I have found that I have interpreted the theme to suit what I want to do and actually this time it's not about the challenge but more me enjoying the photos and what I did with them!

Firstly I feel I ought to apologize to those who are only interested in the challenge part of this post but I wish to share the beading with a friend and this is the most effective way.  If you do not wish me to combine posts {because it will mean they will be chatty and general rather than the 'specific' challenge ones I generally do} please leave me a comment. Secondly I have a new blog, please come check it out at  Scrumptious Delights I have over the weekend {now I can see again with new glasses} dug out my beads and as you do on cold wet April days begun beading Christmas Decorations once more.  This lot is, umm, slightly harder than the previous beaded decorations I have made and the process came with lots of choice words and the binning of a certain amount of wire.  However, I have found a personal way of developing my beading.  I am none too keen on the thinner more flexible wire.  I have a tendency to break it and of course it isn't as easily...
