Today im taking part in the creative blog hop. "Monday again! Okay I'm a day early but whilst I have the time I thought I'd get this done! Oh my how did I manage to forget to blog?  Think I need a new brain...is anyone up for crafting me one? Okay so this week we are looking for your feathered friends over at Ike's world Challenges .  There is a gorgeous freebie, whom I may have to nab and turn into some kind of comforter he is that cute.   For my take on feathered friends I went with an angel...I am not quite sure it turned out as it did in my head but it's close enough.  For this project I used H2o's Promarkers Distress inks Backing papers from Docrafts Die cut leaves Liquid Pearls {anyone who knows me knows I have an obsession with these!} I also used a template for the gazebo from Cut and Craft I inked the gazebo before cutting it out as it was easier, then I cut and assembled it using double sided tape and a glue gun.  The swing my angel is on came from the gazebo set but my angel is from Ikes art .  I tried to sit the angel up so she appears 3d, but I think it's n...

For this project I have used: Spanish dancer from Ikes Art Ice skater from Ikes art A Paper Mache box White prescored card Gesso Dusty Concord distress ink Shaded Lilac distress ink Orchid purple promarker Putty Promarker Lime Green promarker Lavender Lace liquid pearls Purple Ribbon Die cut leaves and flowers coloured with promarkers Before I talk about the mundane process of making this, I suggest you pop over to  Ike's world challenges have a look at the challenge, check out the freebie and participate in the best challenges ever!  {No I'm not biased, I used to VERY nervously do the challenges myself and I promise every is very nice and kind!} Now on to the mundane stuff!  I bought the box and covered it in a thin layer of gesso, so thin it dried almost instantly.  Then I used ink dusters but you can use cheaper alternatives to mix a combination of dusty concord and shaded lilac onto the box. For this project I fancied doing something a little different so I altered a note book.   It’s for the http://poequoththeraven.blogspot.co.uk/ Challenge.   I have used Ike’s Skelley gossip image and witch image.   I free hand drew the cross and grave, the tree is stamped but I cannot remember but I think it’s a docraft stamp. The background is inked with distress inks and the leaves are heat embossed using a cosmic shimmer embossing powder.   

Wooden quote hearts For this project I bought the heart shapes but they are simple enough to make if you are good at woodwork {I’m not!} or have someone who can do it for you.   I gesso’d the hearts first with a very thin layer so that it wouldn’t take so much ink to cover them.   I inked using dusters…and used shaded lilac, peacock feathers and picked raspberry distress inks.   I had to apply a few coats though so I did this over a couple of days until I got the depth of colour I wanted.   Then I added the liquid pearls around the border.   I stamped the quotes onto acetate and left them to dry with the liquid pearls overnight.   Then I glued the acetate on using glossy accents to create a quick and easy project. As some of you know I’ve had a tricky time lately but despite the ongoing issues craft is now very high on my agenda once again.   Thank you for bearing with me during this time.

Well I've said for a while now I wanted to try out some darker crafting and it appears that I have not only jumped in but taken the quickest route possible via the death slide if you will excuse the pun.   It seems somewhat appropriate that my plunge into the dark is for Ike's World Challenges , this time the theme is Monochrome and mine is grey.  I've used the Cut and Craft Kitchen template again...this time I elongated the table and added an extra set of legs for it.  I used the sink unit for a sink and cupboards.  I used part of the small wall for the body fridge, the large walls for walls and well I confess I hadn't printed the sink so I'm very sorry but I 'botched' that myself.  I used a window template to the extractor fan. The notes pinned to the wall above the table are just some bought pegs and hand written bone names.   I've used Ike's Skelly Gossip image which I have totally obliterated by cutting the bones into sec...
