Sall the Crafty Baker

I've had a difficult couple of weeks and I needed to release the stress.  I had no idea where I was going with this.  I always have a few stamped/digi images coloured to chose from but nothing inspired me {yes that's a first}.  I started by trying to freehand a polka dot background with gelatos and distress crayons but it wouldn't come.  I then used a scrapbook template to create a hexagonal background, once done it reminded me of patchworking so I added the stitching using a perfect medium pen and cosmic shimmer sparkle red embossing powder.  Whilst rummaging for an image to use I found this gorgeous image from Ike's Art and instantly the text came to me.  "Smile and embrace lifes rich and colourful tapestry".

It's all about thanks again.  I have made some more thank you cards in preparation for the coming year.

This weeks adventure was much needed for my sanity but due to being tired it was close to home and nothing that would need lots of energy for hearing.  I took myself to the Grand Western Canal and this time walked in a different direction.  I think this has to be my favourite direction, there are less people, the canal is more overgrown and less well kept and there is far more nature about.  I saw a kingfisher but failed to get a photograph of it.  I normally post this the same day but someone mentioned watermarks on photos so I figured I ought to.  It took FOUR hours!  I am not amused.  Also I don't really see myself as a photographer, not even an amateur really...obsessive probably covers it nicely and as some are okay most are acceptable and the rest disastrous so I doubt that I need to have a watermark on them.  That said, I'd love your opinions if you can bare to scroll far enough to leave a comment.  I'm not sure why but some of the pho...
