I'm a bit of an ocean obsessive so I figured I'd create a thank you card with an oceanic theme.  I've used liquid pearls in silicone moulds for the fish, octopi and dolphins, the seaweed is glittered die cut cardand the background is distress oxides with dylusions ink spray.

It is all about colour at  Ike's World Challenges  and they have provided an amazing colour scheme to inspire us with. Now before I share my piece I am going to provide you with a {Boring} piece of history.  Many of my readers will by now know I LOVE history, we have today because of HISTORY, the future is possible because we had HISTORY. On the 5th November 1605 King James 1st was on the throne, King James was the first King of the Stuarts and wasn't as tolerant of Catholics and Catholicism as had been hoped.  In fact King James ordered all Priests to leave England. Due to King James' request for all Priests to leave England a group of Catholic men led by Robert Catesby {somewhat surprisingly given that Guy Fawkes is the most famous member of the group} plotted to blow up King James. There other men involved in this were: Robert Wintour Thomas Wintour Thomas Percy Christopher Wright John Wright Francis Tresham Everard Digby Ambrose Rookw...

I'm not particularly good at these but I wanted to send one to a friend who is moving house.  The friend chose the colours lime green and orange and I made a basic job of the rest.

Due to a set of stressful circumstances there was no adventure last week.  However, during the week I stumbled upon a recipe for Bara Brith biscuits/Cookies.  Now I love Bara Brith and decided I just had to try these biscuits, they are perfect for winter/Christmas as they are spiced.  I have also found a taste for some vegan Chocolate and Ginger biscuits but my scrooge like manner does not appreciate the cost of them so I figured it was time I learnt to bake my own Ginger Biscuits...and not gingerbread men/houses.  I had scoured the net and wasn't convinced by the recipes I found and then found one in a cookie book that I already had and that I love it has lots of absolutely delicious biscuits in.  They have come out perfect in taste and crispy so they have a crunch when you bite them or dunked in your chosen beverage doesn't go too soggy. Having a short time to create always makes me nervous so I tried to keep this one simple.  It's a 3d embossing folder with the highest parts covered in Nuvou mousse, a simple die cut dragonfly, butterfly and flower with the words Good Luck.
