Something that screams me

It's anything goes with an optional twist of something that screams me over at Ike's World Challenges: I like this twist so decided I'd play with it.  I like something unique, unusual and lots of the darker side of craft appeals to me.  I get considerable flack for this, it's too different and too unusual and mostly too far from "normal" cute and cuddly for a lot of people.  The trouble is I don't do "normal" cute and cuddly very well, it never looks natural just as though I've thrown everything at it and tried too hard.  So I feel this says me, I quite often feel as though I'm the brainless zombie pig.

    This is so super AWESOME Sall !!! I love how all the little animals are soooo expensive LoL Great colouring and a wonderful idea. I know I get a bit of flack when I got 'dark' too hahahaha :-D

One Stitch At A Time {OSAAT} Challenge 236 Anything Goes Special Lady

This is my first post for One Stitch At  A Time {I’m am so honoured to be allowed to cover for Nataliya whilst she takes a holiday} and I wanted it to say something about me as well as the theme for the challenge. The theme this fortnight as One Stitch at a time  is anything goes with special lady.  Now I have a few of those in my life, however recently one person has shown me just what a special lady they are through helping me when things got tough.  I send her happy mail a lot and she gets a special birthday card but when it comes to Christmas…the sheer number of cards to be made and sent at the same time means she generally gets a boring handmade card.  I saw the OSAAT challenge theme as a good way to show her how special I think she is at Christmas. The beauty of death

Gosh here I am blogging again...this time it's a "dark" art journal page.  I love doing these I just sit and play and see what happens.  There's something natural about dark craft that appears to my soul begging for freedom.  I lost track of time and it was only several hours later I emerged ravenous and realising Nan had slept for far too long...tonight I fear could be bad! I've used images from  Ikes Art  to create this page about the beauty of death.  I was really excited when I discovered it was to be a "dark" image over at Ike's Facebook Group challenge this month, I just don't see the "darker" images and creations around much. To make this I've used a background of distress crayons, the tree is made using novou mousse, the leaves are brushos, the mushrooms are stamped as are the bugs from various Hobby Art  stamp sets.  The quote is one I thought of suddenly at the end of the project and is written by me.  It reads: ...
