Thursday Adventure ~ Woodland Themed

Today's adventure took me to Wellington Monument.  It is the tallest three sided obelisk in the world.  Unfortunately it is all fenced off while the National Trust complete work on it.  That said it is a beautiful walk but it does require boots {in my cakes steel cap boots and big fluffy purple socks complete my outfit of a pinafore dress and t-shirt nicely} both because it is muddy and because it is frequented with dog walkers who don't pick up after their dogs.  Before I went this time I'd have said it's a fantastic place for children to run free but the amount of dog faeces I'd caution against children.  I think this walk is best done in autumn when the leaves are changing.
