A Rocky walk

Well okay it wasn't really a walk as such more a wonder around the Rockery Garden at Killerton.  I rarely make this walk as my balance makes the steps in the Rockery a little risky.  However last autumn I ventured in to see what was growing there. I loved the last of the flowers and the greens but also the architecture of the steps.












These steps don't look too bad but some are thigh high on me which makes for an interesting time trying to get up them, especially as they increase in height the higher up you go.




Looking down you can see how steep the steps are but not how high each step is.



What is this tree?











Anyone? Any ideas at all what this tree is?





I have tried a google reverse image search, it just tells me it's a fruit tree, not really helpful I wanted to know what kind of fruit tree?

    That looks gorgeous. I'd love to go there. My Mum used to have a little rocky path like that going up to the higher level of her garden - a nightmare for slippery moss etc in the Winter !!!
    Your tree looks like a DOGWOOD Tree but I cannot be ultra certain without knowing the size of the 'fruits' but that's my guess :-D xoxo

One Stitch At A Time {OSAAT} Challenge 236 Anything Goes Special Lady

This is my first post for One Stitch At  A Time {I’m am so honoured to be allowed to cover for Nataliya whilst she takes a holiday} and I wanted it to say something about me as well as the theme for the challenge. The theme this fortnight as One Stitch at a time  is anything goes with special lady.  Now I have a few of those in my life, however recently one person has shown me just what a special lady they are through helping me when things got tough.  I send her happy mail a lot and she gets a special birthday card but when it comes to Christmas…the sheer number of cards to be made and sent at the same time means she generally gets a boring handmade card.  I saw the OSAAT challenge theme as a good way to show her how special I think she is at Christmas. The beauty of death

Gosh here I am blogging again...this time it's a "dark" art journal page.  I love doing these I just sit and play and see what happens.  There's something natural about dark craft that appears to my soul begging for freedom.  I lost track of time and it was only several hours later I emerged ravenous and realising Nan had slept for far too long...tonight I fear could be bad! I've used images from  Ikes Art  to create this page about the beauty of death.  I was really excited when I discovered it was to be a "dark" image over at Ike's Facebook Group challenge this month, I just don't see the "darker" images and creations around much.
