Main Colour Green at IAAS

It's a new challenge over at International Art and Soul  and the them is use a main colour of green.

I'm really enjoying playing in my art journal so I have continued with that.  I've used Gelatos and distress crayons as the background, the image is the Green Man from Ikes Art and coloured with promarkers.  The leaves are die cut from glitter card and the words written in white paint pens on black card.  I've written the words myself so there are no copy right issues.

    Those pages are really cool Sall and I love the leaves. Thanks for using one of my images.
    Where did you get that Journal book and what sort of paper does it have inside ? Can you watercolour onto it. ? Is it quite thick ? :-D

One Stitch At A Time {OSAAT} Challenge 236 Anything Goes Special Lady

This is my first post for One Stitch At  A Time {I’m am so honoured to be allowed to cover for Nataliya whilst she takes a holiday} and I wanted it to say something about me as well as the theme for the challenge. The theme this fortnight as One Stitch at a time  is anything goes with special lady.  Now I have a few of those in my life, however recently one person has shown me just what a special lady they are through helping me when things got tough.  I send her happy mail a lot and she gets a special birthday card but when it comes to Christmas…the sheer number of cards to be made and sent at the same time means she generally gets a boring handmade card.  I saw the OSAAT challenge theme as a good way to show her how special I think she is at Christmas. The beauty of death

Gosh here I am blogging again...this time it's a "dark" art journal page.  I love doing these I just sit and play and see what happens.  There's something natural about dark craft that appears to my soul begging for freedom.  I lost track of time and it was only several hours later I emerged ravenous and realising Nan had slept for far too long...tonight I fear could be bad! I've used images from  Ikes Art  to create this page about the beauty of death.  I was really excited when I discovered it was to be a "dark" image over at Ike's Facebook Group challenge this month, I just don't see the "darker" images and creations around much.
