I mentioned last year that I wanted to do a Christmas Card Challenge so that I wouldn't be stressed or bored getting a large quantity of Christmas cards done.  I've made a list and assigned a theme to each person I send a card too.  Although I admit I did have some help with the themes.  I'm doing the list randomly depending on which images I have coloured and ready to go.   My First Theme is:  Away in a Manger.  The Carol Away in A Manager is popular in Carol services but also in many primary schools.  The Lyrics are:   Away in a manger No crib for a bed The little Lord Jesus l aid down his sweet head The stars in the bright sky looked down where he lay The little Lord Jesus asleep on the hay The cattle are lowing, the poor baby awakes But little Lord Jesus, no crying he makes I love Thee, Lord Jesus! Well okay it wasn't really a walk as such more a wonder around the Rockery Garden at Killerton.  I rarely make this walk as my balance makes the steps in the Rockery a little risky.  However last autumn I ventured in to see what was growing there. I loved the last of the flowers and the greens but also the architecture of the steps. These steps don't look too bad but some are thigh high on me which makes for an interesting time trying to get up them, especially as they increase in height the higher up you go. Looking down you can see how steep the steps are but not how high each step is. What is this tree? Anyone? Any ideas at all what this tree is? I have tried a google reverse image search, it just tells me it's a fruit tree, not really helpful I wanted to know what kind of fruit tree?

Okay so my title isn't as funny or catchy as it could be but I wanted to share some fungi photos snapped at Killerton.  Now this is great, I find them interesting, beautiful to look at but appear to be allergic to them!  I can't eat the edible mushrooms and I shouldn't be walking near trees that are losing their leaves and where Fungi is growing.  The mould spores released by the trees that help the fungi to grow create Asthma symptoms. A few years ago I had a serious reaction to it and only realised afterwards why I was wheezing after eating mushrooms.  Now I avoid them, strictly avoid them food wise and dose up on antihistamine to enable me to walk.  I have used the term dose up because under supervision from my Asthma nurse we have increased the antihistamine to higher than over the counter dose.  This does mean I need  a prescription but it also means I don't have to hibernate come Autumn.
