Knightshayes court
So my year of adventures is coming to an end, or according to my National Trust membership it is. It started as a term of adventures when Lipreading moved and then went into a year...it's likely to become a more regular thing. The move for Lipreading is permanent and financially it doesn't make sense to continue, well actually it's more a case of financially impossible to continue. I miss it...I miss the people and it I get teary when I think of what I am missing. The funny stories of the mistakes we all make, the tips someone stumbled upon by accident, the interesting and diverse themes each week but most of all I miss the inclusiveness, nowhere have I ever felt so included as I did there. Don't get me wrong it wasn't easy...I ended a difficult first term by bribing them with limoncello lemon curd cupcakes. That was my inroad...I could bake, not only bake but reach the standard of approval for a group of WI women...something of an accolade if you aspire to baking something well. I try and keep in touch, it's not always easy but it's like going home to family when I see them. Anyway before I get too maudlin I think it's time to share my photos with you from Knightshayes and apologise that my camera is still struggling with the abuse I give it. Oh and unfortunately it looks as though these posts will continue because I'm not ready to give up the adventures just yet...sorry!
