Non Craft Item

Oh goodness International Art & Soul have really pushed the imagination button with this challenge.  Use a non craft item.  That really is difficult and has taken a great deal of consideration before I came up with this.  I have used a piece of {unused clean} gauze and inked it with salty ocean distress oxide ink for a material esque textured background to this fashionista image from Ike's Art

    Don't faint Sall!!! I have actually managed to visit some blogs! Great way to use up extra gauze. I have used it myself but never thought to colour it. Great stuff. Christine xx

    Very lovely. Your image is great and I love the way you used the gauze to highlight it and let the image jump out.

One Stitch At A Time {OSAAT} Challenge 236 Anything Goes Special Lady

This is my first post for One Stitch At  A Time {I’m am so honoured to be allowed to cover for Nataliya whilst she takes a holiday} and I wanted it to say something about me as well as the theme for the challenge. The theme this fortnight as One Stitch at a time  is anything goes with special lady.  Now I have a few of those in my life, however recently one person has shown me just what a special lady they are through helping me when things got tough.  I send her happy mail a lot and she gets a special birthday card but when it comes to Christmas…the sheer number of cards to be made and sent at the same time means she generally gets a boring handmade card.  I saw the OSAAT challenge theme as a good way to show her how special I think she is at Christmas. The beauty of death

Gosh here I am blogging again...this time it's a "dark" art journal page.  I love doing these I just sit and play and see what happens.  There's something natural about dark craft that appears to my soul begging for freedom.  I lost track of time and it was only several hours later I emerged ravenous and realising Nan had slept for far too long...tonight I fear could be bad! I've used images from  Ikes Art  to create this page about the beauty of death.  I was really excited when I discovered it was to be a "dark" image over at Ike's Facebook Group challenge this month, I just don't see the "darker" images and creations around much.
